Q: What are your normal hours of operation? A: We are open Tuesday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Q: At what age should I schedule an appointment with the orthodontist for my child? A: The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children visit the orthodontist at age 7 to assess the newly erupted permanent front teeth and intercept any crowding or bite problems that may lead to future orthodontic problems. Q: Can my appointments be scheduled before or after school? A: We will do our best to accommodate your schedule, but most patients request these times and therefore, before or after school appointments may not be available every month. Also, these appointments are reserved for quick monthly checkups and longer appointments must be scheduled in the middle of the day. Q: What is included in your fees for braces? A: Models, X-rays, photographs, all braces and adjustments, 1 set of retainers, and retainer checkups for one year after removal of braces. Q: Will you file my insurance? A: We courtesy file your insurance with most insurance plans. An exception to this is filing with DMOs or discount fee plans, since we are not a participating provider for them. As for PPOs, most people don't realize that their insurance will sometimes pay the same to an out of network orthodontic provider as to a network provider. If you have any questions concerning this, please contact your insurance company, or you can contact us at info@bracesbybradley.com and we'll be glad to answer your questions. Q: How can I distinguish an orthodontist from a dentist? A: Only university trained orthodontists who have completed a 2-3 year residency in orthodontics at an accredited university are allowed membership in the American Association of Orthodontists.
